I'm hurrying to the book shop to buy this novel. I heard whisperings of this book recently but only just shook the internet cobwebs off me there to google it.
All i can say is this guy is the main man for me. I love all of his ambitious, poetic, swaggering, heartbreakingly amazing work. This guy inspires me infinitely.

OMG - I'm reading this at the moment. It is FAB!! But how can they call it a novel?! I intend to ask him that when I meet him. It is short stories and that is what this man does best. I've always loved Colum's language & originality. This book SINGS. I was going to blog all this. But what the hell.

Yeah WRW, big time - He's such a stylist. I remember reading 'Fishing the sloe black river' and the hairs prickling up on my arms it was so fucking good.
Only joking about the hair Artsparker - i just had to balance out all that gushing praise somehow.
